National Night Out Event Cancelled

National Night Out 2019

The National Night Out event originally scheduled in Cedar Falls for October 6, 2020, has been cancelled. This event is traditionally held the first Tuesday in August, however, it was postponed due to COVID-19 precautions.

“The COVID spread rate means we don’t want to promote mass gatherings, so it’s best to wait for next year,” said Cedar Falls Mayor Rob Green. “We’re planning a Public Safety Department open house this upcoming spring, and look forward to our community celebration of next year’s National Night Out on the evening of Tuesday, August 3, 2021.”
